Vi har f\u00e5tt oppskriften fra den italienske kokken Luca Mereu, som kan fortelle at retten har f\u00e5tt navnet av at den som spiser den sterke tomatsausen blir r\u00f8d i fjeset, som en veldig sint person. \u00abArrabiata\u00bb betyr nemlig sint p\u00e5 italiensk. Retten g\u00e5r s\u00e5 langt tilbake som 1600-tallet og kommer opprinnelig fra Roma og Lazio-regionen.
