Navnet anginetti stammer fra den franske kongen Carlo I d\u2019Angio som regjerte Napoli p\u00e5 1200-tallet og kjeksene var tradisjonelt forbeholdt helt spesielle anledninger, som bryllup og p\u00e5ske. Den italienske kokken Luca Mereu forteller at anginetti opprinnelig ble laget med en liten klunk acquavite laget p\u00e5 druemost, men den ble senere byttet ut med limoncello for \u00e5 understreke sitronsmaken. Har du ikke limoncello, kan du bruke en mild akevitt eller cognac.
