Heldigvis krever det hverken store ressurser eller mye tid \u00e5 f\u00e5 sjekket dette. H\u00f8yt kolesterol er en av flere risikofaktorer. Karianne Svendsen, postdoktor ved Lipidklinikken ved Oslo universitetssykehus, forteller at s\u00e5 mange som en av ti nordmenn har h\u00f8yt kolesterol uten \u00e5 vite det. Det finnes ogs\u00e5 enkelte apotek som foretar slike m\u00e5linger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 Selve m\u00e5lingen gj\u00f8res med et stikk i fingeren eller en vanlig blodpr\u00f8ve i armen. Med fingerstikk f\u00e5r du svar med en gang. Mens med vanlig blodpr\u00f8ve i armen tappes det litt blod som sendes til analyse slik at du f\u00e5r svaret senere. Begge tester gir en god indikasjon p\u00e5 niv\u00e5et ditt av kolesterol i blodet, men blodpr\u00f8ven i armen gir ofte mer informasjon om risiko, og er hakket mer n\u00f8yaktig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">B\u00e5de apotek og fastlege benytter seg av fingerstikk. Disse er fine for \u00e5 f\u00e5 en rask indikasjon p\u00e5 om man b\u00f8r g\u00e5 videre med en blodpr\u00f8ve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u00ad<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u2013 Det selges ogs\u00e5 hjemmetester, er dette noe \u00e5 anbefale?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 Det er et skille mellom en helsetjeneste og en hjemmetest. Dersom du betaler for en helsetjeneste med kolesterolm\u00e5linger s\u00e5 vil du f\u00e5 umiddelbar tilbakemelding og r\u00e5d om hva du kan gj\u00f8re videre. Med hjemmetesting st\u00e5r du mer ansvarlig selv. Sjekk i det minste hva det st\u00e5r om oppf\u00f8lging av pr\u00f8vesvar. Dersom noen i familien har f\u00e5tt hjerte- og karsykdom i ung alder eller du vet at det er h\u00f8yt kolesterol i familien, kan du gjerne m\u00e5le kolesterolet ved f\u00f8rste mulighet i voksen alder, sier Svendsen. Hun har forsket p\u00e5 kolesterol i den norske befolkningen og sett at noen har h\u00f8yt kolesterol allerede fra 30-\u00e5rsalderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 Det er mye \u00e5 vinne p\u00e5 \u00e5 oppdage h\u00f8ye kolesterolverdier tidlig i livet. Det er kun ved \u00e5 m\u00e5le kolesterolet ditt at du kan f\u00e5 den oppf\u00f8lgingen som trengs og ha mulighet til \u00e5 ta grep for \u00e5 redusere kolesterolet tidlig, hvis det er behov for det.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-er-det-visse-symptomer-jeg-bor-se-etter\">\u2013 Er det visse symptomer jeg b\u00f8r se etter?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 Med kolesterol, som med blodtrykk og h\u00f8yt blodsukker er det som regel ingen symptomer. Det er det som gj\u00f8r det s\u00e5 usikkert. Du kan som regel ikke kjenne det p\u00e5 kroppen selv om du har skyh\u00f8ye verdier, sier Karianne og legger til:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 I en studie vi gjorde ved norske apotek s\u00e5 var det s\u00e5 mange som 1 av 10 som hadde et h\u00f8yt kolesterolniv\u00e5 de ikke visste om. Dette er en vesentlig andel mennesker.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\t<div class=\"has-background has-neutral-0-background-color is-style-vertical-spacing alignwide wp-block-mills-section has-background has-neutral-0-background-color\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wp-block-mills-section__inner aligncenter\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull card-info is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-kroppen-trenger-kolesterol\">Kroppen trenger kolesterol<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Selv om det ofte kan virke s\u00e5nn, s\u00e5 er ikke kolesterol bare negativt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 Litt kolesterol er faktisk livsviktig! Uten kolesterol ville ikke cellene i kroppen ha kommunisert s\u00e5 bra som de gj\u00f8r, og du ville ikke hatt viktige hormoner som testosteron og \u00f8strogen, sier Svendsen og forklarer videre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 N\u00e5r vi m\u00e5ler kolesterol i blodet m\u00e5ler vi egentlig transportmiddelet til kolesterolet. Litt transport er helt supert, det er f\u00f8rst n\u00e5r det blir \u00abtrafikkork\u00bb at noe av kolesterolet gj\u00f8r mer skade enn det er til hjelp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-dette-kan-du-gjore-med-forhoyet-kolesterol\">Dette kan du gj\u00f8re med forh\u00f8yet kolesterol<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Det er anbefalt \u00e5 ha et totalkolesterol p\u00e5 under 5 millimol per liter (mmol\/L). Om du f\u00e5r p\u00e5vist for h\u00f8yt kolesterol er det heldigvis flere ting du kan gj\u00f8re selv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 R\u00f8yking, overvekt, usunt kosthold og det \u00e5 v\u00e6re inaktiv gj\u00f8r at kolesterolet lettere kan gj\u00f8re mer skade enn godt i kroppen. Derfor vil det v\u00e6re veldig positivt for kolesterolniv\u00e5et \u00e5 v\u00e6re fysisk aktiv, spise sunt i tr\u00e5d med kostr\u00e5dene, \u00e5 g\u00e5 ned i vekt om du har mye magefett, samt \u00e5 slutte r\u00f8yke.
