Kostfiber er karbohydrater som kroppen ikke klarer \u00e5 ford\u00f8ye i tynntarmen. Tarmbakteriene i tykktarmen derimot, klarer \u00e5 bryte ned en liten mengde. I denne prosessen avgis litt energi. Kostfiber er p\u00e5 den m\u00e5ten n\u00e6ring for tarmbakteriene og viktig for bakteriesammensetningen i tarmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Betaglukan er en type kostfiber som finnes i korn, gj\u00e6r, sopp og alger. Betaglukan fra bygg og havre har vist seg \u00e5 bidra til normale kolesterolverdier i blodet og kan begrense blodsukkerstigningen etter et m\u00e5ltid. N\u00e5r vi spiser matvarer som inneholder betaglukaner tar det med seg gallesyren fra tynntarmen og ut av kroppen. N\u00e5r gallesyren skilles ut av kroppen, m\u00e5 leveren lage ny gallesyre ved \u00e5 bruke kolesterol, noe som gj\u00f8r at vi f\u00e5r mindre kolesterol i kroppen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-hva-kan-jeg-spise-for-a-fa-i-meg-betaglukaner\">Hva kan jeg spise for \u00e5 f\u00e5 i meg betaglukaner?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Bygg og havre er som nevnt gode kilder til betaglukan.
