H\u00f8yt kolesterol i seg selv er ikke farlig, men fordi det \u00f8ker risikoen for hjerte- og karsykdom er dette noe vi gjerne f\u00f8lger med p\u00e5 og fors\u00f8ker \u00e5 gj\u00f8re noe med, forklarer klinisk ern\u00e6ringsfysiolog Marte G. Det er alts\u00e5 relativt vanlig \u00e5 ha noe forh\u00f8yet kolesterol, forklarer Byfuglien. Kolesterol er et fettstoff som blant annet brukes som byggestein i hormoner og i cellevegger.n<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-kolesterol-kan-deles-i-to-grupper-ldl-kolesterol-og-hdl-kolesterol\">Kolesterol kan deles i to grupper: LDL-kolesterol og HDL-kolesterol.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>LDL-kolesterolet blir ofte kalt \u00abdet d\u00e5rlige kolesterolet\u00bb. Dette er fordi det f\u00f8rer til avleiringer p\u00e5 innsiden av blod\u00e5rene, noe som \u00f8ker risikoen for at blod\u00e5rene blir tettere, s\u00e5kalt \u00e5reforkalkning.<\/li><li>HDL-kolesterol blir gjerne kalt \u00abdet gode kolesterolet\u00bb. Dette er fordi det frakter fettstoffer tilbake til leveren hvor det skilles ut som galle. Lavt HDL-kolesterol gir \u00f8kt risiko for hjerte- og karsykdom. Det er \u00f8nskelig \u00e5 ha et HDL-kolesterol over 1mmol\/l for menn og over 1,2 mmol\/l for kvinner.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-anbefalte-verdier-for-kolesterol\">Anbefalte verdier for kolesterol:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Totalkolesterol: 5 mmol\/l eller mindre<\/li><li>LDL-kolesterol: 3 mmol\/l eller mindre<\/li><li>HDL kolesterol: 1 mmol\/l eller mer for menn og 1,2 mmol\/l for kvinner<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\t<div class=\"has-background has-neutral-0-background-color is-style-vertical-spacing alignwide wp-block-mills-section has-background has-neutral-0-background-color\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wp-block-mills-section__inner aligncenter\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-arsak\">\u00c5rsak:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 I de fleste tilfeller henger h\u00f8yt kolesterol sammen med hva man spiser og hvor aktiv man er, forklarer Byfuglien. I tillegg finnes det omtrent 25 000 mennesker som har medf\u00f8dt arvelig h\u00f8yt kolesterol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 Maten vi spiser p\u00e5virker mengden d\u00e5rlig kolesterol (LDL) i kroppen. Den viktigste grunnen til at vi f\u00e5r h\u00f8yere LDL-kolesterol enn \u00f8nsket, er gjerne at vi har spist mye mettet fett. Mettet fett er et relativt vanlig innslag i kostholdet, og finnes blant annet i meierism\u00f8r, fl\u00f8te og fett kj\u00f8tt som p\u00f8lser og bacon. Umettet fett, som oljer, avokado, myk margarin og fet fisk bidrar p\u00e5 den andre siden til \u00e5 redusere mengden LDL-kolesterol i kroppen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mills.no\/vita-hjertego\/?post_type=post&amp;p=599\">Les mer om forskjellen p\u00e5 mettet og umettet fett her<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">R\u00f8yking og lavt aktivitetsniv\u00e5 reduserer niv\u00e5et av det gode kolesterolet(HDL) i kroppen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Det finnes ogs\u00e5 faktorer som p\u00e5virker kolesterolet, men som vi ikke kan gj\u00f8re noe med \u2013 som alder. Fra man er 20-30 \u00e5r til man er 50-60 \u00e5r \u00f8ker totalkolesterolet i snitt med 2-3 mmol\/l *\u2013 rett og slett fordi kroppen eldes, forklarer ern\u00e6ringsfysiologen. Man kan v\u00e6re slank og ha h\u00f8yt kolesterol, og man kan v\u00e6re overvektig og ha helt fine kolesterolverdier, sier Byfuglien.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Som regel oppdages h\u00f8yt kolesterol n\u00e5r man tar en blodpr\u00f8ve hos legen eller p\u00e5 annen helsesjekk. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Man kan ha h\u00f8yt kolesterol uten \u00e5 v\u00e6re klar over det. Hos legen vil du gjerne f\u00f8rst f\u00e5 anbefalt enkle tiltak, som \u00e5 v\u00e6re fysisk aktiv 30 minutter hver dag. Aktivitet \u00f8ker nemlig niv\u00e5et av HDL \u2013 det gode kolesterolet. Andre tiltak kan v\u00e6re \u00e5 bytte ut mettet fett i kostholdet ditt med mer umettet fett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-vanlige-tiltak\">Vanlige tiltak:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bruke myk margarin p\u00e5 br\u00f8dskiva.<\/li><li>Bruke olje eller flytende margarin til matlaging.<\/li><li>Bytte ut en kj\u00f8ttmiddag med en fiskemiddag i uka. Pr\u00f8v for eksempel denne <a href=\"https:\/\/mills.no\/oppskrift\/vita-hjertego\/hjemmelaget-fiskegrateng\/\">fiskegratengen med ekstra mye fisk<\/a> eller denne<a href=\"https:\/\/mills.no\/oppskrift\/vita-hjertego\/stekt-laks-med-blomkalris\/\"> oppskriften med laks, blomk\u00e5lris og avokadokrem<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2013 Betaglukan har ogs\u00e5 vist seg \u00e5 ha en gunstig effekt p\u00e5 kolesterolet. Betaglukan finner vi i havre og bygg, og det kan derfor v\u00e6re lurt \u00e5 pr\u00f8ve \u00e5 f\u00e5 inn mer av disse kornsortene i det daglige kostholdet, forklarer Marte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Pr\u00f8v for eksempel denne oppskriften p\u00e5 <a href=\"https:\/\/mills.no\/oppskrift\/vita-hjertego\/havrepannekaker\/\">havrepannekaker <\/a>eller disse <a href=\"https:\/\/mills.no\/oppskrift\/vita-hjertego\/grove-vafler-med-havregryn\/\">grove vaflene med havregryn<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">For deg som vil redusere kolesterolet ved hjelp av kostholdet finnes det ogs\u00e5 et produkt som heter <a href=\"https:\/\/mills.no\/produkt\/vita-hjertego\/vita-hjertego-proaktiv\/\">Vita Proaktiv<\/a>. Det er en margarin som er tilsatt plantesteroler \u2013 plantenes eget kolesterol. Det hindrer kolesterolet i \u00e5 g\u00e5 fra tarmen til blodet. Norske studier har dokumentert at Proaktiv reduserer kolesterolet med 7-10 % p\u00e5 2-3 uker. For \u00e5 oppn\u00e5 effekt m\u00e5 man spise 25 gram per dag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-medisiner\">Medisiner:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Statiner er den mest brukte formen for kolesterolsenkende legemiddel. Statiner hemmer produksjonen av kolesterol i levercellene, noe som gir \u00f8kt opptak fra kolesterol fra blodet inn i levercellene. Dermed blir LDL-kolesterolet i blodet blir lavere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-oppsummering\">Oppsummering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over 60 % av den voksne befolkningen har kolesterol over de anbefalte verdiene. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00f8yt kolesterol gir i seg selv ingen symptomer. Man kan v\u00e6re slank og ha h\u00f8yt kolesterol, og man kan v\u00e6re overvektig og ha helt fine kolesterolverdier. Behandlingen starter gjerne med endringer i aktivitetsniv\u00e5 og livsstil.
